Controls Engineer

Next Generation are pleased to have been appointed to recruit for a Controls Engineer to work with a well-established engineering company based near Cradley Heath. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for routine, planned, and reactive maintenance of all control systems whilst being on hand to support other electrical engineers as and when required.

What’s on offer for the Controls Engineer:

Competitive salary up to £45,000 p.a. (DOE)

Duties of the Controls Engineer:

• Fault finding on PLC drives.
• Fault finding on control systems.
• Testing, evaluating, modifying and calibrating instruments.
• Providing timely response on reactive breakdowns.
• Keeping on top of critical spare stock
• Updating, and maintaining TPM systems
• Working in a safe and responsible manner.
• Timely response to all reactive breakdowns.
• Flexibility to work around production requirements.
• Engineering support across site.

The successful candidate for the Controls Engineers position will have the following experience:

• 17th or 18th edition certified (Essential)
• Understanding of D/C drives (Essential)
• CNC controller knowledge (Essential)
• Programming PLC’s, Fanuc, Siemens (Essential)
