      Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

      Cradley Heath • £45,000 •

      Next Generation are pleased to have been appointed to recruit for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work with a well-established engineering company based near Cradley Heath. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for improving the up time of hydraulic press systems, manipulators, and hammers.

      Working hours for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

      • Week one (6am – 14:00pm Monday – Friday)
      • Week two (11.00am – 19.30pm Monday – Thursday, with a 17:00pm finish on Fridays)

      What’s on offer for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

      • Competitive salary up to £45,000 p.a. (DOE)

      Duties of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

      • Improving the uptime of the presses, hammers and manipulators by:
        • Building relationships with equipment OEMs and contractors in order to maximise the opportunity out-of-hours and during shutdown periods.
        • Updating and managing the TPM system for the hydraulic presses, hammers and manipulators.
      • Flexibility to work around production requirements.
      • Management of presses and manipulators critical spares stock
      • Updating systems so to prevent from part obsolescence
      • Continuous improvement in hydraulic oil usage and costs.
      • Engineering support across site.

      The successful candidate for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineers position will have the following experience:

      • 3 – 5 years experience working with hydraulic systems (Essential)
      • 3 – 5 years experience managing on-site contractors (Essential)
      • Management of stock control (Essential)
      • Ability to work under pressure (Essential)
